A thirst for knowledge and experimentation fueled the dream of brewing beer. A love for our community compelled us to use it to bring people together.

In 2014, when Shady Oak first began, our roots were planted in the realm of sour and funky barrel-aged beer. We operated as a one-person distribution network with all of our offerings solely in bottles. As our business has grown and evolved, and with the expansion of our taproom in 2018, there is now room to have some fun with hops and more approachable styles as well. With virtually unlimited possibilities, we like to think we have something for everyone to enjoy.
